What Orabimus Does

Orabimus (Latin: orābimus — "we will pray") is a complete online guide to praying the Holy Rosary. It does two things at once: it gives you a deeply personal, meditative prayer experience and it places you inside a living global community of people praying the same prayers at the same moment.

The core is the Rosary guide itself. Every prayer — the Apostles' Creed, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima Prayer, Hail Holy Queen, and all twenty Mysteries in their four sets — is available in two modes:

• Browse mode (accordion): All five decades visible at once, expanding and collapsing. Designed for people who know the Rosary and want to move at their own pace.
• Focus mode (step-through): A full-screen immersive experience with artwork for each Mystery, one prayer at a time, navigated with a single Next button. Designed for deep, distraction-free contemplation.

In both modes, audio narration is available for every prayer in English, Latin, or one language for text and another for audio — chosen independently. The audio is recorded professionally; it does not use synthetic speech. The language toggle is per-session and carries across modes. The full Rosary in Latin — including every prayer from the Signum Crucis through the Salve Regina — is available throughout.

The Live Community

The right column of the Orabimus interface — visible on desktop, accessed via tab on mobile — is a live global feed of prayer intentions. Any signed-in user can post an intention in their own words. Every other user sees it appear in real time. They can offer it — a small heart icon, not a "like" but a prayer offered — and the count of people who have prayed for that intention is visible on the card.

This is not a forum or a comment section. It is a chapel. The stream moves continuously, day and night, from every country. Each card has a time label and a share button so you can send someone the semi-permanent link to your intention. Intentions expire after a set period — they are not archived forever. This impermanence is intentional: it keeps the chapel present-tense.

The live per-decade counter at the heart of the app shows how many people, worldwide, are praying the same decade of the same Mystery at the same moment as you. The counter updates in real time. On any given day thousands of people pass through Orabimus. The feeling of not praying alone — even in a quiet room — is the founding purpose of the platform.

The Group Rosary

The Group Rosary is Orabimus's most distinctive feature. Any signed-in user can open a Group Rosary room, choose their Mystery set — Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, or Glorious — and share an invitation link. Anyone who clicks the link — no account required to join — enters the lobby, where a real-time participant count shows everyone who has gathered. The host sees the count, a globe visualization showing participants' locations, and a timer. When ready, the host presses "Begin Group Rosary."

From that moment, all participants are on the same prayer at the same time. When the host presses Next, everyone's screen advances simultaneously. Participants can send a "I'm ready" signal to let the host know what percentage of people have finished the current prayer. The host sees this percentage and can pace accordingly — faster with a small group, slower with a large one.

Live rooms created by people you follow appear in a "chapel strip" at the top of your community feed — immediately visible so you can join in seconds. Room links are shareable by any channel: text, email, WhatsApp, social media, parish bulletin.

Social Features — Fellow Network

Orabimus has a lightweight social layer. You can follow other users and be followed by them. Followers are called "Fellows" — those who pray alongside you. When someone you follow is hosting a live Group Rosary, their room appears in your chapel strip. When you share your profile link, new followers can find and join your rooms.

There are no algorithms, no ranked feeds, no engagement metrics. The social layer exists for one purpose: so that the people you already know — your family, your prayer group, your parish community — can find each other here.

Prayer Streak

From the third consecutive day of completing the Rosary, Orabimus tracks your streak. A flame icon appears in the header with a count of consecutive days. Streaks are displayed on your profile and can be shared as a card. On day three, Orabimus shows a quiet invitation to support the platform — not a paywall, not a nagging pop-up, just an honest ask from a place of gratitude.

Streaks reset at midnight local time if no Rosary is completed that day. There is no streak "freezing," no way to buy past days. The streak is an honest record of consecutive prayer — nothing more.

Free Forever

Orabimus is free to use in full. The complete Rosary guide, audio in English and Latin, the community intentions feed, the Group Rosary rooms, the social follow network — all of it is free, with no account required to pray the Rosary itself.

No ads run on Orabimus. No advertisers have ever paid to place content here. No investor holds equity or influences product decisions. The platform is funded by the generosity of users who choose to support it — voluntarily, after experiencing it, at whatever tier makes sense for them.

Optional support tiers for those who wish to contribute: a Monthly Supporter plan at $3.99 per month, a Yearly Supporter plan at $29.99 per year, and a Founding Supporter one-time gift of $119. Supporters receive a small visual badge on their profile; the product is identical for free and paid users.

Built for Every Device

Orabimus is a Progressive Web App (PWA). It can be added to the home screen of any iOS or Android device from the browser — no app store, no download size negotiation, no review process delay. Once installed and warmed, it works fully offline: the full Rosary, all prayers, all audio, cached and available with no internet connection.

The interface adapts to mobile, tablet, and desktop. On mobile, the Rosary guide and community feed are separate tabs; on desktop they sit side by side. Dark mode is fully supported, following the system preference by default and adjustable per-session.

The Name

Orabimus is the first-person plural future active indicative of the Latin verb orare — to pray. It means "we will pray." Not "I will pray" — not a private, solitary act — but "we," together. The name is a commitment to the communal dimension of Catholic prayer: prayer is never fully private, because even the most silent personal prayer is offered within the Church, with all the saints, for all the living and the dead.
