Privacy Policy

Who we are

Orabimus is a free Catholic Rosary web app at orabimus.com, run independently by its founder. This policy covers the website, the installed app, and the Orabimus Activity inside Discord. Questions go to hello@orabimus.com or the contact form.

Praying without an account

You can open the Rosary, hear the audio, and follow the words without signing in. That use does not create an account.

Information we collect

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and Google’s account identifier, and we keep them so the account can be recognized next time. A sign-in cookie on api.orabimus.com keeps the session. The cookie is httpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it.

If you sign in with a passkey, we store the public credential that lets us recognize that passkey. Your fingerprint or face stays on your device. We never receive it.

What you choose to share with other people is stored as part of the service: prayer intentions, the name shown on your profile, who you follow, Group Rosary rooms you host or join, and prayer counts tied to your account. When you unmute in a spoken room, your voice is sent live to the other people in that room. Orabimus does not keep a recording of it.

If you turn on notifications, we store the push subscription your browser gives us, and we use it only to send the alerts you asked for.

Supporter payments are handled by Stripe. Orabimus receives a customer identifier and whether a subscription is active. We do not receive your full card number.

If you write through the contact form, we keep the message and any name or email you include, so a person can reply.

On your device, the app remembers preferences such as light or dark mode, and it keeps a local copy of the prayers and audio so the Rosary still opens offline.

What we do not do

Orabimus does not show ads, does not run third-party analytics, and does not sell personal information.

Discord

When you open Orabimus as a Discord Activity, the page runs inside Discord. Discord’s own privacy policy covers your Discord account. Orabimus receives only the Discord information you authorize while using the Activity.

Why we use it

Who else receives it

Other people using Orabimus can see what you post publicly, such as an intention or your name in a room.

How long we keep it

Account information stays while the account exists. Intentions and room history stay as part of the community record, including intentions that have been archived. Contact messages stay as long as needed to handle them. Email hello@orabimus.com to ask for a copy of your account data or to ask us to delete the account.

Children

Orabimus is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under the age required where you live.

Changes

When this policy changes, the new version replaces this page and the date above changes with it.
